Pets Plus source their hamsters only from responsible and caring breeders, they are quarantined for 7 days before being released for sale. Syrian Hamsters are generally gentle creatures which when nurtured will develop into rewarding pets and given proper care will live from 2-4 years. If you wish to purchase a Hamster from Pets Plus please allow 20 - 30 minutes during which time new owners will be provided with extensive knowledge on how to care for, socialise, feed, home and keep clean the newly acquired Hamster. Hamsters do best in cages large enough to provide them with adequate space to excercise, feed, drink and sleep. It is worth paying a little more for a good quality, sturdy cage from which the Hamster is unable to escape. Always check the strength of bars, some economy cages have thin bars through which they can squeeze.
